- Arthritis. Osteoarthritis is the most common joint disorder in the United States. It is called “wear and tear” arthritis and can be due to a number of factors including age, weight, and lifestyles.
- Trauma. Trauma to your shoulder joint can happen from a wide range of activities. Injuries can range from a sports injury, accidental falls, car wrecks and much more. When trauma occurs to your shoulder, the result could be tears to your muscles and tendons (both partially or complete). This can cause pain when moving the shoulder joint, sleeping or just contact aching.
